Domaine Pierre Thibert
Corgoloin - Burgundy
Pierre and his wife Aline are self-made wine makers, and with no background in viticulture, they managed to build a family owned estate of 5 hectares with a long time pristine reputation. Out of passion, Pierre established the domaine in 1989 by renting a few parcels at first, then expanding the estate as it is today, with half in Côte de Nuits and half in Côte de Beaune - and it is probably one of the best kept secret of Burgundy ever since.
Since 2017, their son Arthur is taking over the reins, keeping the family heritage alive, while committing to the modernization of the domaine. A new cuverie has been built, and the work in the vineyard is conscious, with organic farming methods, elevating the quality vintage after vintage.
Great respect for nature, conscious work in the vineyard and attention to details, definitely a name to keep an eye on.
